A PROMOTION arid new appointment are announced by WIncanton Transport Group. Alastair Elder has been promoted to operations and ' commercial manager for the group's bulk haulage division, and John Greenhalgh joins as project manager, His Job will be to define clerical end computerised systems requirements for new businesses within the group.
Mr Greenhalgh goes to Wincanton from Halfords, where he was systems controller responsible for the company's distribution, warehousing and inventory control systems.
Mr Elder has been promoted from business development manager. He joined the company in 1976 as an operations manager and helped with the setting up of the company's London operation.
