T E DEPARTMENT of Transport insists that there has been no attempt to suppress a report on heavy lorries which was expected to be released this week.
National press reports suggested' that the Transport an1 Road Research Laboratory report LR910 on th effect heavy vehicles have oi road surfaces was being withheld by DTp. ut a spokeswoman assured CM this week that DTp fully intends to publish the report "very soon". It had been passed to the Transport Minis er for study, and the Department had yet to produce a digest.
