Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ERF is to extend its M-Series range of vehicles from the 16to 24-ton weight categories. The new chassis are intended for production by mid-1981.

A cost-and-weight-reducing exercise has been carried out, with the result that no component common to the heavier B-Series ERF will be used. The first model from the new range is likely to be a 24-ton sixwheeler.

Current prototypes are using Perkins and Cummins Vee engines for evaluation purposes.
