Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EQUIPMENT and implement manufacturers occupy the space normally used for livestock at the Royal Smithfield Show in Earls Court this week. However, despite the additional space exhibitors show little that is new in the automotive field.

Last year County Commercial Cars Ltd. produced an eye-catcher, the FC654 multipurpose tractor. This year it shows the same vehicle fitted with the Ford 2703 six-cylinder engine.

In the gallery AC-Delco shows a new range of heavy duty starters. For the moment these motors are designed particularly for heavy duty agricultural engines but should be available soon for lighter automotive application.

V. L. Churchill and Co. Ltd., displays its new tractor splitting equipment. This com prises two jacks the front is static and is placed to the rear of the bell housing and the mobile rear jack is located beneath the transmission shaft. The rear axle is moved back and the clutch is thus exposed for dismantling or adjustment. During the operation the shaft is maintained at a constant height so that re-insertion of the splined shaft does not present a problem.

In the bodywork section, Adams Trailers Ltd. is showing an entirely new trailer, the Transfer Weight model. This draw-bar trailer can be towed by any prime-mover fitted with hydraulics and is itself fitted with a self-aligning body.

The show ends today (Friday).
