A 28 cu.yd. tipping trailer is the latest example of a Northern Trailer Co. Ltd. unit to be converted by Neville Industries (Mansfield) Ltd. of Mansfield, Notts, to a retractable type. It is fitted with a Neville 25ft aluminium tipper body and is hauled by an ERF64GXB tractor of 9ft 6in. wheelbase.

Gross vehicle weight is 30 tons and the payload is in excess of 20 tons. Converted Northern semi-trailers have been supplied with 35 cu.yd. capacity, 28ft 61n. bodies. Details include Edbro 6SC single-ram tipping gear and Rubery-Owen running gear.
