AN ISO 20ft 20-ton-gross container of exterior post design has been produced by Caddey (Coachbuilders) Ltd., of Addlestone, Surrey. It is being displayed throughout the country this month mounted on a Murfitt skeletal semi-trailer drawn by a Ford D1000 tractor.
Metsec steel standard frame sections, from Metal Sections Ltd., are used in the construction, with close-riveted aluminium alloy exterior panels and 27mm marine-ply one-piece floor.
Double doors are in 25mm metal-faced marine ply, edged with rubber sealing. The underframe has provision for straddle-lifting and the steel corner castings will accept the standard 5-ton hook.
