THE Transport Holding Company will give careful study to the PIB Report. Meanwhile, the THC is pleased to note that after a crisis standstill of 21 years the Board accepts that it would be right for BRS Parcels Ltd. to increase its parcels tariffs for weights up to 4cwt.
The THC is also pleased to note that the Board accepts that charges for general haulage, now in effect frozen, should be appropriately varied. As to the long-term future, the THC feels certain comments made by the Board on various matters, including the setting of targets, need further and closer discussion with the PIB and the Minister of Transport.
