£iin. WORTH: Orders for over £250,000worth of goods chassis and trailers have been „placed with the Leyland Group by operators in Pakistan. Gammon Pegson (Pakistan), Ltd., have ordered ten Leyland Hippo, ten Scammell Himalayan dump trucks and one Scarrirnell Constructor heavy-duty tractor with a 60-ton trailer. The Water and Power Development authority in Lahore have ordered 20 Albion Chieftains, two Scammell Constructors and one Scammell Super Constructor tractor. Other orders include one for nine Leyland Comet tanker chassis by the Burmah-Shell Oil Storage and Distribution Co. of Pakistan, Ltd., six Scammell. Sherpa dump trucks for the Directorate of Supply in East Pakistan and four Scammell Scarabs and 16 Scammell semi-trailers for the Central Ordnance Depot, Karachi.

LEYLAND. PURCHASERS: Swindon Corporation has ordered five Titan PS2A_24 double-decker chassis with semiautomatic ?mum:I-Cyclic gearboxes and air brakes. They will have rear-entrance bodies built by M.C.W., Ltd., with seats for 65 passengers. Three other municipalities have also placed orders for Leyland buses. Plymouth Corporationk has ordered a further 12 Atlantean doubledeckers: Cardiff Corporation has ordered 10 Titan PD2A.30 63-seater doubledeckers and Ramsbottom U.D.C. has ordered one Titan PD2A30 64-seater:

B.E.T. ORDER DUPLE: Companies within the B.E.T. Federation have ordered a total of 61 36-ft.-long, 8-ft. 21-in.-wide single-decker bus bodies from the Duple Group. They will be mounted on A.E.C. Reliance and Leyland Leopard chassis and built at the Duple Group Willowbrook Factory at Loughborough. Bodies on the A.E.C. Reliance chassis include 10 for Potteries Motor Traction and two for Hebble Motor Services, and those on the Leyland Leopard chassis are 18 for Western Welsh, 10 for Potteries Motor Traction, 10 for Northern General Transport, seven for Yorkshire Traction and two each for County Motors (Lepton) and Tynemouth.

TANKERS: Cawood Wharton, Ltd., of Harrogate, have ordered 10 Leyland Octopus tanker chassis and the Mobil Oil Co., Ltd.. have ordered three.

SOUTH AFRICAN ORDERS: Recent orders from A.E.C. Vehicles (S.A.), Ltd., include 10 A.E.C. Regal Mk. IV bus chassis for Durban Corporation, three similar models for Bloemfontein and an A.E.C. Kudu vehicle for Benoni Municipality. Goods vehicle orders include one from their distributors in Mocambique, Guerin (Mocambique) Ltda. of Lourencd Marques, for six Mammoth Major six-wheeled tippers, and the Transvaal Provincial Authority has ordered three Mandator long-wheelbase chassis to be used as laundry vans.

WASTE COLLECTORS ORDERED: A. Panne!, Ltd„ London, N.W.1, Tom Morris, Ltd., Gloucester, and Joseph Crosfield, Ltd., Warrington, have each ordered a Dempster Dumpster LEW 303-C unit mounted on Bedford TK chassis from Powell Duffryn Engineering Co., Ltd. A total of 53 containers has also been ordered. The orders are worth £15,000.

BIG LEYLAND ORDERS: Over £270,000 worth of Leyland bus chassis have been ordered by private and municipal undertakings in the U.K. in the past two weeks. The largest order is for 48 Atlanteans by Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd. Six of the new Leyland Lowlander doubledeckers have been ordered by Luton Corporation and other orders are from Kingston upon Hull Corporation, for 11 Atlanteans, Barrow-in-Furness Corporation, for six Leopard 27-ft. long single-deckers, Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co., Ltd., for three Leopard 36-ft. long single-deckers, Wilkinson's Motor Services, Sedgefield, for two Leopard 27-ft. long single-deckers, County Motors (Lepton). Ltd. for two Leopard 36-ft. long single-deckers, South Notts Bus Co.. Ltd., for a Titan PD3.4 double-decker, and Halifax Passenger Transport Dept., for a Leopard 27-ft. long single-decker.

A .E.C.s TO BRITISH HONDURAS: Ten A.E.C. Mandator tractor chassis fitted with Duramin Safari cabs are being shipped to British Honduras next week. The vehicles have been ordered by the Belize Estate and Produce Co., who engage in large-scale logging operations.
