The body is loaded from vans which bring refuse from various shops. Steps are placed against the side of the vehicle, vans back up to them and the drivers climb up the steps with the waste material to tip it into the body. Four vans, two on each side, may be unloaded at the same time. The steps are arranged so that the lowest rung is at the same height as the van floors.

The body of the tipper measures 20 ft. by 6 ft. by 7 ft. It was built by Anthony Hoists, Ltd., and the complete vehicle was supplied by the Gipsy Corner Garage, Western Avenue. London, W.3.
