Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• BRS is being sued for compensation after £10,000 worth of Italian food earmarked for Sainsbury's supermarkets became infested with rodents and had to be destroyed.

Star Mealmakers has issued a writ in the High Court claiming £100,000 damages from BRS and its subsidiary BRS (Midland). The writ alleges that supermarket chain Sainsbury's rejected a load of Star Mealmakers' food delivered to its Hackbridge, Surrey depot because it was infested with live rodents and mice droppings.

The infestation was allegedly discovered on 8 January 1990, six days after Rentokil had inspected BRS's warehouse in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire, and warned the company about the mice.
