• Two Mercedes dealers in Sheffield and Doncaster, which are both part of the CG Whittaker group, have gone into receivership. A Mercedes spokesman stresses that problems elsewhere in the Whittaker group were responsible for the closures, and that the dealers themselves were "successful and profitable businesses".
Mercedes is holding urgent talks to find replacements.
