Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Electrical products distributor London Carriers International has opted out of ownaccount operation by selling its entire 150-vehicle fleet to Ryder Truck Rental under a lease-back arrangement.

The deal, which includes a full maintenance programme, was won by Ryder against stiff competition from several other contract-hire companies.

LCI will be able to call on additional Ryder vehicles when needed, including replacement trucks in case of breakdowns.

The move will allow LCI to concentrate on its "core business activity of third-party logistics, including dedicated warehousing, distribution and international freight forwarding", says LCI finance director Mike Bannister.
