• Norba Waste Handling Systems has won a £3.75m order from the Hong Kong Government for 61 refuse collection vehicles.

The order comprises two contracts, based on Seddon-Atkinson M17P16 4x2 and Leyland Dal Constructor FAT 80-260 6x4 chassis.

The Seddons will be fitted with Norba's K155 15.5m3 body; 32 with open backs and 18 with bin-lifts.

All 11 Leyland Daf Constructors will have the larger K180 18m3 body equipped with bin and paladin lifts.

This is the second order Norba has won in Hong Kong: sales Director John Prescott says the company is now considering setting up its own parts and service facility in the Far East colony.
