Alarge show of commercial vehicles is to be held in Manchester from April 18 to 23, It will be at the Store Street premises of Lookers Ltd., the Austin distributors, who are staging the exhibition in conjunction with Palmer Coachbuilder Ltd., of Feltham. and Primrose Third Axle Co. Ltd., of Blackburn, Over 40 exhibits are scheduled to be featured in the premises, which Lookers have only recently acquired for the handling of commercial vehicles, and the area covered will be over 30,000 sq. fl. As well as a wide range of Austin models there will be Palmer Palanquin body designs, container bodies and semi-trailer bodies, and this will be the first public showing of the Jumbo van semi-trailer design in which Palmer and Primrose are co-operating. Primrose semi-trailers to be seen will include a new model with I-beam frame longitudinals and the company will also be featuring third axle conversions.
