AN application by Charles Rickards (Tours) Ltd, of Brentford, London, to run an express coach service between London Airport (Heathrow) and Leicester was refused by the East Midland Traffic Commissioners.
Chairman of the Commissioners, Mr. C. M. Sheridan, said the applicant had not produced sufficient evidence of need and certainly not of the extent of the need.
"That being so, we do not have to consider the abstraction of passengers, although we feel there would be some degree of abstraction from the services at present operated, and this has been admitted by the applicant."
