COMMERCIAL vehicle operators in Oxford and Oxfordshire have introduced a plan to protect goods carried by road in the city and county a vehicle observer corps run by local members of the Road Haulage Association and the Traders Road Transport Association.

This new scheme provides increased coverage in the south of England following the introduction of similar schemes to cover Hampshire and Buckinghamshire. Discussions are well advanced for a corps in Berkshire.
