ADENNIS Pax tipper weighing under 3 tons unladen has been completed by the Spenborough Engineering Co., Ltd., Heckmondwike, Yorks. The vehicle is a forwardcontrol model of 9-ft. 6-in. wheelbase.
The Spenborough single-ram hydraulic tipping gear, model EP46, has a capacity of 5 tons and affords a lift of 7 ft. 4 in. The stabilizer is the Spcnborough V-type.
Dimensions of the 5-cu.-yd. body are: Length, 12 ft.; width, 6 ft. 10 in.; depth, 1 ft. 6 in. The sides are hinged and detachable in halves, being supported by centre stanchions and fixed rear corner pillars.
The tail door is detachable. It is hinged at the top and secured at the bottom with bar and lever control. Body .cross-bearers are closely spaced and are attached to the longitudinal members by stout gussets.
