Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As 4 brain dead reps in Vectras and doddery grannies in D-reg Metros weren't hazardous enough for motorcyclists, we also have to put up with truckers bent on turning tarmac into a lethal slick with diesel sloshing from their tanks.

Motorcycle News has run a long campaign to stop diesel spills, but I doubt many Commercial Motor readers also take that publication so I thought I would write you a quick note.

The message is simple. Brim your tank at the pump and you risk laying a greasy slick of death on a corner for some motorcyclist to come a cropper on. Please, I know I wouldn't get my Mighty White in such tip-top condition if it wasn't for you boys in trucks—I just don't want to have to die for my daily bread. P Bock Westerham, Kent.

• Paint taken. And it's also worth reflecting that diesel costs so much these days, no haulier can afford to dump it on the road—Ed.
