• Avis Europe is being targeted for a .29 million takeover bid from speciallyformed consortium Cliva, made up of Lease International, General Motors and former parent company US Avis.
Avis Europe, initially formed to pay off Avis Inc debts, has seen its shares jump from 25p to .25.85 in three years.
