1E DUST has almost settled on the ond British Truck Grand Prix. ving just read GM's (August 24) ort on the recent truck racing at the verstone venue I would like to make a points.
do not wish to condemn or nmend truck racing, but it is all too yarent that this sport is not the nber one sport of drivers and .rators as was first indicated. f the sport had grown steadily it may 11 have succeeded in appealing to vers, but the rate at which it has ned momentum has overtaken many the less trendy among us. What years to have happened is that the g-established CM backed Lorry iver of the Year event has been ;hed into the background and :rshadowed by the "new" events. [he LDoY may not be the crowd ler that truck racing obviously is, but As grown slowly over the years as a , of skill and entertainment.
