Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

VOLVO group sales for the first six months of this year were 28 per cent up over the same period in 1978 at 11,696m S Kr (E1230m). This figure includes the contributions from all the various Volvo interests including the marine, car and commercial vehicle divisions.

The truck division sales of 1,544 m S Kr represented a 20 per cent improvement over the first half of 1978. The bus market showed a 19 per cent increase.

In spite of these figures, Volvo president Pehr Gyllenhammer was cautious when he reported the results. "The Volvo group is able to report a substantial increase in both sales and income for the first half of 1979.

"My view, expressed in May of this year, that there is a risk of a weakening of the (world) economy towards the end of 1979, remains firm."
