Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ELECTRIC cables and pipes passing through metal panels have always presented chafing problems. Now grommet manufacturer Thorsman & Co UK Ltd, of Chorley, Manchester, has produced a new range (TET) of synthetic rubber grommets in five sizes to accommodate cable of tubing from 5mm to 35mm diameter and in plate thickness from lmm to 4mm.

They are available in two grades of synthetic rubber, ethylene propylene and Chloroprene, and are claimed to be both durable and long lasting. • Fodens' latest models use these grommets where the nylon airbrake pipes pass through the cab bulkhead. They seal to IP67 dust-tight standards as well as retaining the pipes. The chance of strain on the connections is thereby reduced.
