TOWNSEND Thoresen's Felixstowe Rotterdam service is to concentrate on freight in future. As from October 1 the passenger car ferry Viking III will be withdrawn, leaving the route primarily freight-oriented. A limited number of passenger spaces will still be available on the cargo service.
Passengers booked on the Felixstowe-Rotterdam service later in the year are being offered crossings on alternative routes.
