I am preparing a comprehensive historical volume on haulage liveries back as far as 1930. Whilst I have thousands of notes and photographs collected over the past 20 years or so. I still lack details of certain very wellknown operators.
May I appeal to your readers for any recollections they have of colour schemes of the following firms, which were operative pre-war and up to nationalization?
The firms are: ALL BRITISH CARRIERS, Newport: FREEGUARD BROS, Newport. DUDLEY AND BLOWERS GREEN, Wolverhampton; WRIGHT BlIOS, Wolverhampton; A. J. GUPWELL, Birmingham: K.P.C, Leicester: TEESSIDE MOTOR TRANSFER CO, Middlesbrough: THOMAS WISE & CO, Warwick: 'ECONOMIC' (FLOUR MILLS?). P. J. DAVIES, 51 Park Corner, Luton. Beds LU1 3TE
