• The second national conference of the British Institute of Management's Centre for Physical Distribution Management will discuss distribution against the background of European and world trade. The conference, at the HiltonHotel, London, on October 30 1973, will be chaired by Sir Reginald Wilson, chairman of the Transport Development Group, who is chairman of the board of the Centre for PDM.
The line-up of speakers is impressive, including Mr Peter Emery, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Industry and Consumer Affairs; J. Dousset, director, Directorate General of Transport, EEC; Prof'. Gordon Wills, Professor of Marketing and Logistic Studies, Cranfield School of Management; D. Dagallier, directeur Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches de Logistique IndustrieIle et Commerciale, Paris; J. A. Harvey, director, SPD Ltd; D. E. A. Pettit, chairman, National Freight Corporation; R.
