Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• iercedes-Benz has rejigged irs T1 van range, introducing variants at new weights and wheelbases and discontinuing most of the petrol models.

The 208D is now available at 3,080kg GVW, in addition to the existing 2,600kg and 2,800kg models; the new model offers a 25% greater payload than the 2.8-tonne version and plugs the gap between the 208D and the 3.5-tonne 308D. Prices are £ 12,750 for the 3,050mm wheelbase van, £13,630 for the 3,350mm wheelbase van and £12,570 for the chassis-cab — all powered by Mercedes' 58kW (79hp) four-cylinder diesel engine. These prices are between £710 and £1,090 higher than for the corresponding 2,8-tormers.

The next new model is a short wheelbase 308D; designed for urban manoeuvrability, the 3,050mm wheelbase 3.5-tonne GVVV van costs £16,490.

The last new model is the Traveliner 15; like the Traveliner 12 ((M 24-30 June) this 15-seat minibus is converted in the UK by Devon to a Mercedes-Benz design. It is based on the 308D, includes a luggage area and is available in standard and highroof versions (the latter offering an extra 280mm of headroom) at ,E21,230 and £22,520 (ex-VAT) respectively

Meanwhile, most petrolengined T1 derivatives have been dropped, as they represent just 12% of UK sales: only the lightweight 210 SWB van (at 2.6 tonnes GVW) and the 310 ambulance chassis cab remain.
