HE DORMAN 8F 9.1 litre 150cuin) V8 naturally aspiratI diesel engine is currently eing assessed by ERF for use its next middleweight range ehicle expected to be anounced next year.
Producing 119kW (160bhp) t 2,200rpm and 542Nm 1001113ft) maximum torque at ROO rpm in automotive form will provide strong competion to a downrated version f the Gardner 6LXB — also eing considered.
Dorman has been applying harge-coolers to industrial ngines for a good many years ut entered into the automo!ye field only in 1972 with a urbocharged version of the F.
Acceptance now by a major ehicle manufacturer such as :RF would represent a big ireakthrough for the compaty.
