COACHES and buses fitte with electro-magnetic retai ders will not need to hay special fusing arrangement for the retarder electrics th Department of Transport ha decided.
The decision, after joir discussions between the CP1 Telma Retarders and the DTI is something of a triumph fc the CPT. There are, it believe: about 3,000 vehicles usin retarders and the cost fitting special fusing would b around £100 per vehicle.
It was pointed out to th Dip, by Telma, that there ha never been a psv fire attribui able to retarder electrics.
