PA.A RECOMMENDATION that the present id. children's fare.be raised to Id. is contained in a report of Nottingham Transport Committeeto be presented to the city council. If this increase takes effect, an additional annual revenue of £26,000 is expected.
In the past financial year the transport undertaking suffered the first loss in its history, a net deficit of £82,302. Ald. G. W. Plackett, chairman of the transport committee, has forecast another loss on this year's operations.
Delivery of a number of new vehicles is partly responsible for the proposed increase, as loan charges have to be met.
