ALL operators of road-transport vehicles, 'students of engineering and others will undoubtedly find ranch of outstanding interest in the second edition of the manual, "Compression Ignition Engines for Road Vehicles," written by the Editor of The Commercial Motor.

The first edition proved an unqualified success not only in this country but in every part of the world, and although produced only in January of this year, within a few months it was out of print and a second edition has had to be rapidly prepared in order to meet the continued demand for this text book, which was not only the first of its kind but one which gives the fullest and most accurate information, c40 The second edition, which is now on sale at the popular price of 2s. 6d. net, or 28. gd. by post, can be obtained from any bookseller, or on application to Temple Press Limited, 5-15, Rosebery Avenue, London, E.C.1. The book deals with some 35 different makes of engine, and the specification table has been enlarged to include particulars of the additional models.
