Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Justin Stanton THE TANKER industry has a new show dedicated to it: Tank-ex 14. The show will run alongside Tip-ex 14 at Harrogate International Centre on 29-30 May. Exhibitors already confirmed include: • Crossland Tankers • Feldbinder (UK) • Fort Vale • Integrated Tanker Services • Jost UK/Edbro • Maine Group/Parcisa • MAN • PFS Fueltech • TCL Tanker Rental • TIP Tanker Services • Transairvac International • Vallely Tankers (UK) • WG Tanker Services • Whale Tankers

The launch of the show rides the wave of positive news from many tanker industry suppliers. Whale Tankers MD Mark Warmington told CM: "We've had a very good year to date, with a full order book and strong pipeline. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do, so we have been busy on that front too. There hasn't been a dedicated trade

show for the tanker market for some time and we think Tank-ex could be a good opportunity for us to showcase our latest product innovations.

"We expect to get high levels of interest from the show, which we can convert into tangible business, naturally."

A Fort Vale spokesman said: "Tank-ex 14 is an exciting new venture for Fort Vale. With no current dedicated meeting place for the road tanker industry, it's the perfect opportunity for us all to network.

"This event will allow us to reach out and speak to the industry under one roof, including those we're not necessarily in touch with on a regular basis — users and possibly even drivers."

Gerry Vallely, MD of Vallely Tankers, said: "To run Tank-ex alongside Tip-ex is a good idea. We will bring new and innovative products. The company has a full order book; in particular, export sales are on the rise as there is a growing requirement for UK equipment." TIP Tanker Services sales manager Gavin Parker highlighted the sector's health:

"Tanker rental is relatively buoyant with customers changing capacity requirements and still finding difficulties with measuring capacity needs due to a lack of commitment from their customers."
