Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Managing director: Andy Williams Kilometres covered: 1,370 Trailer type: Curtainsider (double-deck) Fuel consumption: 8.6mpg Williams Transport was the first operator to try out the Stralis Hi-Way, and director Andy Williams says he found the loan a positive experience. "We used it on the night run, and the guy on shift had been using a rental unit that was the older Stralis before the demo came in. That gave him a good comparison and he was quite

impressed with it. He said that the ride was better, the drive was better, the gearbox was a lot better, and that it was generally really good. "The fuel consumption

was very good too; there's normally a Daf on that job, and that usually averages just under 8mpg. We got just under 9mpg on that shift [8.6mpg as an average throughout the loan], so to get nearly 1mpg more is quite good." With a three-bay workshop, Williams was keen to have his mechanics check over the vehicle, and their diagnosis was also positive. "They had a quick look around it, and said it looked a lot simpler. Not as many valves and electrical components, a lot neater, tidier, and a lot more accessible. They prefer to only see the trucks for routine maintenance, but I don't think they're

worried about one coming into the garage."

Williams summed up the experience by saying a lot came out of the loan and, shortly after the vehicle left, Williams Transport placed an order for a new Stralis Hi-Way, which will be delivered this month.
