Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I was abhorred about the The price is hiked' article (CM 24 October).

You could say I have a vested interest as the MD of the largest manufacturer of AdBlue in the UK.

While there are large variations in AdBlue prices, it depends on the packaging size and logistics involved. Consider the high level of investment in the installation of weights and measured retail dispensers, and storage tanks that will run into thousands of pounds.

This was defended by the motorway stations, but the comments that really annoyed me were the unfair comparisons to agriculture urea. There is a significant difference between the high-quality automotive urea used to produce certified AdBlue and agricultural urea used in producing fertilizer. You also chose to ignore the stringent process authorised licensed AdBlue manufacturers go through to ensure every litre produced conforms to ISO 22241-1 standards. Each batch test alone can cost up to £280 per test. It fills me with fear when any reference to blending your own AdBlue using agriculture urea and water is mentioned. As a respected

industry magazine, you have a responsibility to provide truck manufacturers and operators with accurate information. It was a one-sided article and should anyone from CM wish to visit one of our urea production sites or AdBlue blending sites to balance up the article, it could be arranged.
