ing for the Vehicle Inspectorate, told the court

that a 7,5-tonner loaded with cartons and driven by Aldred had been stopped in a roadside check at Dagenham. It was discovered that Aldred was a disqualified driver, but when he was Initially interviewed by a traffic examkier

he had denied knowing that he had been disqualified.

Appearing for Aldred, Rebecca Fairburn said he had been disqualified in his absence. If he had been aware of his disqualification he would not have driven the vehicle.
