Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A lorry driver who was killed in a road accident had no WV licence and was defrauding the Benefits Agency, an inquest has heard.

Stanley Holloway, 52, was hauling container units for Stringfellow Transport Services of Liverpool on 15 April when he lost control of his vehicle on a bend in the Peak District. Holloway was driving towards Taddington Dale when his truck overturned on a righthand bend at Black Rock Corner. The tractor unit flipped on to its nearside and the trailer tipped over into a field, pushing the cab into a stone wall.

Holloway, of Mill Square, Aintree, Liverpool, was trapped in the damaged cab and died from asphyxia.

The inquest heard that he had not held a heavy goods vehicle licence since 1986 and that his tachograph chart had been falsely completed in the name of Michael Cutts to hide the fact he was working while claiming benefits.

A police accident examiner found his speed at the time of impact was 38.5mph—just below the zlOmph limit but possibly too fast for the bend.

High Peak Coroner Clive Rushton recorded a verdict of accidental death.
