• The Road Haulage Association's northern division wants to hear from hauliers experiencing long delays at distribution warehouses in o bid to compile a list of the worst offenders.
The decision to publish the rogues gallery was taken after several hauliers complained at a regional meeting that delays are getting worse and will soon be compounded by the Christmas rush.
RHA regional director Geoff Dunning says: "The delays caused by large warehouses are both unacceptable and unnecessary—we want members to report where the worst delays are to help us to compile the list." He also says he may use information he receives to confront the worst offenders for an explanation.
