More trucks hit by firebombers

• Eight trucks were firebombed at a Warwickshirebased abattoir this week.
Kenilworth-based F Snelson & Son says the fire, which was spotted by one of its drivers at 04:00hrs last Monday, caused £400,000 worth of damage.
Army bomb disposal officers found eight devices which had failed to explode in the rest of the 17-strong fleet, which was parked in a compound in front of the abattoir.
The bombs, which were planted in the unlocked cabs, incorporated timing devices attached to cannisters of inflammable liquid. Snelson's has never been attacked before; it is now planning to tighten up security.
RSPCA council member Robin Webb has been elected press officer of the extremist Animal Liberation Front, which has claimed responsibility for several attacks on meat trucks.
