Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Following the recent decision by the AA to become sole owner of AA-BRS Fleet Rescue (CM 10-16 Oct), may I take this opportunity to tell all our customers and suppliers why it's very good news for everyone concerned.

AA-BRS has been one of the success stories of the 1980s — that's why the AA took its decision to back us. The new structure now gives us an excellent platform to develop our services further for the benefit of the truck operator.

We have always relied on our truck recovery agents to supply the highest level of service at the roadside. This will continue and they can expect an increase in the volume of business that we pass to them.

What single ownership means is that we now have the right focus that will enable us to develop our services further in the truck market as a whole. I am delighted with the change and so, I believe, will all our customers and suppliers. Ray Combs,

Managing director, AA-BRS Fleet Rescue, Birmingham.
