• Bristol express carrier Interlink Express has welcomed Post Office chairman Sir Bryan Nicholson's call for a reduction in the monopoly threshold for letter posting to 50p.
Interlink claims to deliver 99.6% of all its consignments before noon the following day; the Post Office's target for first class mail is a 90% delivery by the next day.
