Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Chassis straightening equipment supplier losam launched a range of new products at last month's Automotive Trade Show. Josam"s aluminium pressing heads follow the same set-square design as their steel counterparts but are considerably lighter. They are joined by a lifting arm for vertical pulling of bodywork mounted on the cab jig. Also introduced at the ATS was an extendible jacking tower which uses rear-mounted strengthening ties to fix the tower to the base. With the extension the tower can reach a height of 4.5 metres, it uses a 20-tonne ram.

For low chassis height 7.5tonners 3osam announced a low-profile jacking stand. Its minimum height is 563mm, can reach up to 853mm and uses a 10-tonne jack.

Heating chassis during straightening can cause problems if the metal is overheated or if carbon is absorbed into the steel. To overcome this the company is marketing its induction heater which allows localised heating to a pre-set temperature without a naked flame.
