• Russian truck manufacturer Kamaz and US engine maker Cummins have joined forces to produce Cummins engines for Kamaz trucks built in the Soviet Union. The operation, called KamDizel, will manufacture C Series and Cummins L10 engines from 134kW to 242kW (180-325hp). Volumes are predicted to reach 25,000 a year by the late 1990s.
