TACHOGRAPH charts will b stored under the joint control c shop stewards and managf ment, under a wage agreemen signed between Blue Circl Cement and the Transport an General Workers' Union and th General and Municipal Workerf Union.
Under the 20-month agree ment, which runs until DE cember 31, 1982, drivers receiv an 8.6 per cent increase in basi pay from April 27 last, and th, working week was reduced fron 40 to 39 hours. An additional tel per cent increase applies fron February 1, next year.
Drivers of top-weight vehicle: are now paid £86.80 for 3! hours, and this rises to £95.48 or February 1. Subsistence is nov £10, and goes up to Ell in Feb ruary.
The delivery bonus for all jour neys scheduled at agreed run ning speeds rose from £1.15 tc £1.35 per scheduled hour las April, and goes up to £1.50 ir February. There also are in creased protective clothinç allowances and insurance cove for accidental death or disable ment.
Blue Circle has agreed not tc use tachograph charts as part o its wages system or for discipli• nary purposes.
