I REFER to a prominent news item (CM October 24, page 19) referring to Peak Trailers Ltd.
This article gives the impression that Peak Trailers ceased to trade in 1980 and that the heavy vehicle section was also closed. This statement is untrue.
Trailor UK Ltd, in April 1974, purchased the goodwill and assets of Peak Commercial Vehicles Ltd, the subsidiary of Peak Holdings which built and marketed heavy trailers.
The customers of Peak Commercial Vehicles continue to enjoy the support of a major trailer manufacturer and have always been able to obtain spare parts for existing trailers.
