Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

with parts delivery

NATIONAL CARRIERS have entered into an exclusive contract for the movement of Fiat parts to Fiat's network throughout the United Kingdom. This is a direct result of their experience in delivering parts for Volkswagen in the UK.

The new delivery scheme is based on Fiat's 54-acre parts depot at Warrington, close to National Carriers' own depot. The delivery service involves the use of 17 Fiat vehicles all finished in a specially designed livery. The fleet comprises Fiat 130 24-ton tractive units, five 25ft trailers, two OM Fiat vans and 12 OM 55 Fiat vans.

The vehicles are loaded at Fiat's computer controlled parts depot at Warrington by Fiat staff, dock levellers facilitating easy loading. An NCL supervisor at the Fiat warehouse caters for any necessary re-scheduling operations and any documentation queries that may arise.

Outlets

At present National Carriers deliver to approximately 100 outlets and by the end of next year this will be increased to 350 when parts will be delivered direct to all dealers. The present arrangements normally allow a twice weekly delivery service to distributors.

The VW operation is based at four regional depots in the UK, and NCL trunk from Ramsgate to the regional centres. On the trunking operation eight articulated vehicles are used. NCL is involved with delivery to Volkswagen's 350 outlets from the various depots —D onc a ster, Edenbridge (Kent), Whitbum (Scotland) and Trowbridge. Each depot has a National Carriers supervisor and 30 vehicles are used for these local deliveries.

These specialised services of NCL, in line with the specialised Fashionflow operation, suggest the future course of NCL' s business,
