THE latest addition to the Transport Ferry Service's fleet, m.v. " Bardic Ferry ", docked at Tilbury on Tuesday after her first voyage from Antwerp. The vessel was transferred from the PrestonLame service because of increasing demands for Continental "drive-on, drive-off" facilities.
The " Bardic Ferry" will make three voyages a week in each direction. She can carry 90 vehicles and 55 passengers at 14 knots. In the past two years the volume of traffic had increased threefold.
