Belfast is now advertising for tenders for additional motor fireengines. The chief constable of Oldham has received instructions to report on the purchase of a motor fire-engine—and also of an ambulance.

On Tuesday last, the 6th inst., anLOB. inspector held an inquiry at Ossett (Yorks), in regard to the application of the local council for a loan of £1922; of this, 21169 is for fire-brigade nurposes.
