Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SALLY the Viking Line is planning to launch a freight-only service between Ramsgate and Dunkirk this summer.

The company is currently looking at three or four possible ro-ro ships available for charter to operate the service and if all goes well it should start at the end of June.

Around 400 freight vehicles a week are being carried on Sally's existing car ferry and the proposed freight-only service will allow the company to remain faithful to freight customers, even in the peak holiday season. The service will probably operate seven days a week, with the two-and-a-half hour crossing made at night.

A spokesman for Sally said that the service may be extended to serve Zeebrugge as well, but this has not yet been finalised.

Last year Sally's winter sailings were disrupted because of the lack of protection afforded by Ramsgate harbour but a new breakwater being constructed should be completed by September and this will overcome the problem. If the freight-only service is successful it may be extended to run all year.
