Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Danfoss is marketing a new series in its range of Orbit slow-speed hydraulic motors known as the OMR. This type incorporates an important design change resulting in increased working pressure, a higher starting torque and longer motor life, as well as a reduced degree of irregularity, a lower starting pressure and a lower minimum figure for rev /min.

The major OMR feature is that it utilizes a system of free rollers between the outer gear ring and the rotor. So instead of the external teeth of the rotor meshing directly with the internal teeth of the outer ring )as is the case with earlier Orbit motor units) they mesh with the surfaces of the rollers themselves. This arrangement results .in reduced friction between rotor and ring.

Allowable working temperatures for the type OMR are —30deg C ( —22deg F) minimum and 85deg C (185deg F) maximum when using hydraulic fluid based on mineral oil with EP additives. Made by: Danfoss (London) Ltd, 6Wadsworth Road, Perivale, Middx.
