Compact Air-impact Wrench rtA COMPACT air-impact wrench, called the Imp, is announced by Skil (Great Britain) Ltd. This tool, designed primarily for use in the motor industry, is especially useful for work in confined spaces. Features of the Imp are the building of the motor into the handle—only the impact mechanism is in the work end—and the design of the exclusive recessed drive which makes it possible to lock sockets in rather than on the tool. All accessories have a male fin, hex drive with a retainer ring to fit it.

This new tool, which has a torque of 100 ft./lb., is of all-ballbearing construction and is sealed against oil leakage. The "balanced blow" of all this company's air-impact wrenches is incorporated on this model—two jaws strike an anvil on both sides simultaneously for full-power delivery, without destructive internal stress and jarring kick-back.

Other features of the Imp include complete speed control, an easy forward-reverse dial and a big lever throttle. It requires an air pressure of 90 p.s.i. The no-load air consumption is 10 c.f.m. and the no-load speed 10.000 r.p.m.

Standard equipment includes six fin, hex sockets, whilst an extra accessory is an 8-in.-long 1-in. flat attachment. Also available is a model 1121 Imp kit which contains the [nip wrench, six sockets, spark plug socket, three universal sockets, 4-:n. extension bar, and other items.
