ALTHOUGH Lincoln Transport Department carried fewer passengers in the financial year just ended than in the previous 12 months, their receipts were higher. There were 1,167,764 fewer passengers but receipts at £176,257 were £10,926 up. The wage awards of 3s. in March, 1953, and 4s. in December will cost the department £2,250 in a full year.
